XOPTION Support

How do I install XOPTION ? 

• For Excel 2000 and XP, you must first set Macro Security to Medium - click Tools > Macro > Security, tick Medium, and click OK. 

• Download XOPTION Package, and safe the file in any folder.  Double click the file to start the set up process.  Please follow the instructions during the setup process.  When prompted, we recommend that you install XOPTION at the default folder.

How do I uninstall XOPTION?

• Start Excel, click Tools > Add-ins…

• Untick XOPTION, click OK, and close Excel.

• From Windows, click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Remove XOPTION.

How do I start using XOPTION ?

Start Excel, type =XOPTION("help") in any cell, and follow the instructions therein.  You can also use the Insert Command, or Paste Function button, and complete the following dialog.

How do I use XOPTION for stock index options and currency options?

Use the "continuous dividend yield" field to make the appropriate adjustment.  Please consult an authoritative textbook, such as John C. Hull's Options, Futures, & Other Derivatives, on how to make the necessary adjustment.

Can I use XOPTION within another worksheet function?

Yes, you can nest XOPTION within another Excel function.
